What exactly are we protesting, and why is it supposedly Trump's fault?

Protesting. This is a normality now. It is an everyday occurrence. Another thing we have to consider "the new normal", right next to terror attacks and 'shootings'.

We all heard about the women's marches... the most famous was the one on DC the day after the inauguration. But let me point out- this movement was organized and marches were held on a WORLDWIDE LEVEL.... which got me thinking that that issue actually has NOTHING TO DO WITH TRUMP.... But what do I know? I'm just a woman-- who's not afraid of a Trump-governed America.

But that's not the only thing being marched or protested about.

Gays were out in full force this weekend- They piggybacked the women's rally with signs that said things like "If I can't marry my boyfriend, I'll marry your daughter". I am not sure what that has to do with anything, but it seems disrespectful to the women who are marching for THEIR rights. Organize your own damn rally!!

Blacks were protesting before the election season even got underway, yet they have been pretty quiet lately, which is interesting- being that people have been arguing the blacks now have more to fear. Why? Because all Trump ever said to them was "what do you have to lose?" and "What did the democrats actually do for you?".

Then you've got random pockets of protesters.
Example: In Newark NJ, home of immigrants (documented and undocumented- or ILLEGAL) galore, 30 protesters marched in Independence Park in Newark Friday afternoon to protest President Trump on the day of his inaugural and to demand affordable housing, free college tuition and protection for immigrants.
WHAAAAAAAAT???
#1- If you demand affordable housing and free college, who do you expect to pay for that? The already trillions of dollars in debt government? The hard- working other citizens of the country who pay for their own housing, and schooling? I believe the guy you are supposedly protesting against said he wants to re-mediate the debt first and then he could consider things like that. (But on a side note, not all tuition and housing is unaffordable. If you are referring to in-state tuition and housing, you need to go to your local and state governments to actually see a change. Trump can't focus on just NJ or just CA or just Wyoming because they think they have the worst problems- he has to think large scale and overall good of the people.)
#2- Legal immigrants who followed the nation's processes are in no way affected because they are citizens. ILLEGAL immigrants who worked around the system are not. This stands to testify that there is a way to do things. That's part of the reason why Britain Brexited- they are tired of immigrants coming across their borders, settling down undocumented, and then signing up for free government aide. Sounds pretty fair to me. Also, this brings us back to point #1... it seems these people in particular want more stuff to be free in this country. I grew up learning that the best things in life are free- like love, sunsets, and rainbows. Pretty much everything else YOU are expected to pay for it YOU want to partake.

Next protest: Random people are '(?)threatening(?)' to register as Muslims "if or when" Trump requires a national Muslim registry. For the record people- Trump mentioned this in early 2015, the earliest part of the campaign, and then heavily backed away from it because of all the backlash. He hasn't even mentioned it since. But supposedly social media is lit up with people claiming they "stand ready to register as a Muslim in #solidarity " should the opportunity arise. I wouldn't register as anything- and I think I'd rather switch all my answers on other registries or similar documents to "prefer not to say" instead of falsifying information to 'confuse our government' in already confusing times.

Lastly.... How do people have time, money, and resources to run around and protest?? Even if I wanted to, I couldn't afford to swing into NYC or DC and join a big protest. And I wouldn't bother doing it locally because local government meetings are always open to the public so I know I have the opportunity to be heard there. But seriously, how do these protesters do it??

Everyone's thinking it, I'm asking: Is today's left wing liberalism a mental illness?

This is a serious topic of discussion on 'the right'. Not even the far right... the center right. The " 68 % conservatives", the "Centrists", the "Young Outsiders", and the "Somewhat Liberals".  I don't know what the spectrum is for "political or world views" but I'd have to say I hang to the right and the conservative. Which sounds so weird, because CONSERVATIVE is not really a word I'd  ever  use to describe myself. But I talked about this in past blog posts... today's topic is, are people on the FAR LEFT suffering from mental illness? My psychologist sister would have you believe that everyone suffers from some form of mental illness in varying degrees. I suffer from anxiety which induces depression. FUN! The anxiety is inherited, the depression is what occurs when you stop learning how to cope with new or prolonged anxiety inducing situations. Anxiety is a product of chemical imbalance, it can be trea...

sensory overload

We soothe ourselves and distract ourselves and, if we can’t even face the demons inside our own brain, how can we be expected to stick something out, to love someone even when it’s not easy to love them? We bail. We leave. We see a limitless world in a way that no generation before us has seen. We can open up a new tab, look at pictures of Portugal, pull out a Visa, and book a plane ticket. We don’t do this, but we CAN. The point is  that we know we can, even if we don’t have the resources to do so. There are always other tantalizing options. Open up Instagram, Facebook, SnapChat and see the lives of others, the life we could have. The life that just looks so much more glamorous, vibrant (thanks, filters), and exciting than ours. See the places we’re not traveling to. See the lives we’re not living. See the people we’re not dating. We bombard ourselves with stimuli, input, input, input, and we wonder why we’re miserable. We wonder why we’re dissatisfied. ...

The new normal: Fat acceptance

A new study published in the 'International Journal of Fashion Design, Technology, and Education' reveals that the average size of an American woman is now between a 16 to 18, which is an increase from 10-year-old data that indicated most women in the U.S. were a size 14. "I am hoping this will help nudge the fashion industry to seriously consider expanding their sizes," said study author Deborah Christel, Ph.D. LOL...  But you don't make the connection between larger sizes of humans overall and obesity? You don't hope that the results of the 'study' you did encourage people to start eating better and exercising more and you know, stop being obese? You just hope the multi billion dollar fashion industry changes its ways... er, um, sizes. Because... feelings? I mean, anyone who says they can't find clothing in their size is forgetting to tell you the whole story, leaving out key factors like: can't find clothing in their price range, can...
