I cheat too much on weekends and that's probably why I'm not successful....

At least I can point out my flaws. I know the reasons I'm "disappointed in myself" again and again when it comes to weight loss. *Mimosas on Sundays *Bacon and egg bread pudding *Long Islands on rooftops *Wawa subs because you need something quick to put in your belly so you can keep drinking  *Red bull or Monster because you need energy since you got up at 6am and are trying to go hard until 2am *Shots of Fireball because you spun the shot wheel and won a round Normal people (ages 20-25 mostly) can do things like this. People who aren't happy with their bodies and buy into expensive products, should not. People who sometimes care but kinda really don't can do them too... Sunday: 6am wake-up to go ride the horses. Home by 10. Dressed and out the door by 11. Pick up friend, drive into NYC, somehow find parking on the street in the meatpacking district. Walk up to where it says the restaurant should be but there's nothing, not even a sign. Walk up and d

My first thought was "Disappointed" but I was wrong

Today I was supposed to weigh and measure myself, according to the program I'm following. And I always measure first and let the suspense build for weigh-in. Why? Don't ask me I'm just a weirdo like that!! So I measure and I see decrease here and there. Sweet. I feel good. Numbers don't lie, there's changes happening in me. I mean, except in my belly. That belly pouch is a bitch . Finally, I stepped on the scale- I was pumped! I could see  that I wasn't as bloated and the measurements proved (almost) everywhere was getting smaller!! 1lb down from the last weigh-in....? :( My coach texted me an hour later to ask how the 2 day cleanse went and to hear about my results... My response was then : "Disappointed isn't the right word, because I really don't know what to expect form MY journey with the products" She agreed.  BOTTOM LINE: If you see a girl on Instagram who has a beautiful body, use it as your motivation, not as a comparison.

This meal routine fits my schedule nicely

So let me tell you a little about me: I get up around 7am I take my dog Optimus Prime for a walk I bullshit and get ready for work **8am shake for breakfast!!** I'm always late for work. My office hours are 8:30-5. I take lunch around 12, and when it's nice out I use that time to go for a walk. I usually work 9-5:30 Then I change and go into horsey mode From 6-9/10 I work at a horse farm. I walk around -- ALOT. I bring the horses in, there are 8 that need exercising. There's a momma horse and her baby and they need to be fed and nurtured. There's a piggy walking around oinking at me, there's a goat following me around head butting me because he wants food, there's a 3 legged cat meowing at me because he wants food. **SHAKE for dinner between 6 & 7 pm** Bringing everyone in from the field... that can be a journey in itself. I need to see just how far that walk really is lol. And how far really depends on who wants to come to the gate and who wants to han

It ain't easy being 'clean'....

So you'd think that losing 6lbs in 8 days would make me want to keep it strict. I thought so too. Friday I had a shake for breakfast, a shake for lunch, and planned to eat at someone's house. They invited hubby and I over because they wanted him to fix their computer and offered a delightful dinner and conversation in return. Love it! How do you go to someone's house and NOT EAT what they put in front of you? -breaded chicken -tomato and mozzarella with roasted red peppers - gourmet deli meats -fresh green beans light salt/pepper -homemade bread -homemade pierogies So anyone who is on the strict life would say "oh you only eat what you can eat that they have, politely decline". Seriously, how do you politely decline? I could have eaten salad all night except the host was saying "try the chicken  try the pierogies try this try that have wine". I decided it was best to not offend my friends. They laid out a spread fit for a king and queen be

Day one of the cleanse

Day 6 of the Isagenix strict 30 days is Day 1 of the "DEEP CLEANSE".  I am skeptical. I only have a little weight to lose, and it's hardest for people to get off those "last few" (10-15?!) pounds. I don't foresee huge results. I'm know I'm not about to lose ten pounds over this two day cleanse. I hope/wish/PRAY to lose it over the course of the 30 days. But seriously, there's almost no solid food involved for 2 days. I guess the Isadelights chocolates are "solid (although I suck on them and they melt lol). Then there's the Snacks! wafers. I suck on them too though and they dissolve. I have not gone #2 since 7:30 am. I'm curious what's going on it there. How do I feel? Not hungry. But HIGH. Like, wired. I know the Isadelights have a little caffeine in them but woo. I feel like I had a red bull on an empty stomach. And I wish I didn't have to sit at this desk until 5ish PM- because it's a beautiful day outside and I HAV

Let's get this started-- Isagenix Strict 30 days!

Friday the 13th is as good a day as any to try something new, right?!?! How about a no dairy, no added sugars, no preservatives, lots of water, no exercise needed (but always acceptable!), no red meat, no wheat/rice/PASTA, diet? Insert {Isagenix} So I woke up and took a shot of "tonic" and then had my first shake. It's Creamy dutch chocolate flavored and not too shabby. And w/in a half hour of the tonic you have to take a natural accelerator. Easy peasy, breakfast is over. For lunch ... oh crap I forgot to run to the store and get healthy food! A salad from Panera will have to sub in (no dressing or cheese!) and another accelerator. In between, I slipped in not only 2 8ozs of water but also an Isadelight chocolate. I got them in dark chocolate. It's awesome #1 that we get to have specially formulated DIET chocolate, and #2 that it has caffeine in it(green tea extract!!) I choose to eat my "fork and knife" meal at lunch because I have more time to de

The (not so skinny) skinny girl

People look at me and say to my face "you're so skinny". How come I can't look at myself and say that? I know they say we are our own biggest critics, but seriously. How come people don't see what I see? I ask my husband all the time why doesn't he have a problem with my love handles, my saddle bags, my thunder thighs. He laughs it off, he likes me just the way I am. I have NEVER seen an ab on my body. Ever . I have also never seen my tummy lay flat. It always rounds. Round and squishy. I know you now what I mean. If you don't- teach me your ways!! My arms are skinny, they always have been. I mean ok so I notice the bit of floppyness where hard chiseled muscles should be. They're just not big and strong, they're just... there. I have no upper body strength whatsoever lol. My ankles are skinny. Clearly my calves are not because my slim calf zip-up riding boots (I am an equestrian) no longer zip... they cost $400 brand new. I'm in trouble
